You cut me to the quick, sir! While I would not be
quick to defend the merits of the modern Buck Rogers,
I was referring more to the man's unfortunate personal
life during the 70s than I was to his -and I mean this
with every ounce of dripping malice I can summon-
sparkly appearance on the forerunner to (shudder)
Farscape.

Something in my very heart rebels when I see a space
fantasy featuring a protagonist who is ALREADY an
astronaut. A story about Astronauts - all of whom are
already collegiate scientists, athletes and top-notch
pilots, rolled into one- is interesting in and of
itself. If you throw spacemen into it, the two kind
of cancel eachother out.

But my point is that the poor fella hit a HIGH POINT
in his life with BUCK ROGERS. He ended up marrying a
Playmate in the mid-80s (who later divorced him.
Arrgh!) He may not deserve ridicule, but ridicule he
got. Him and -I know this is going to touch a nerve-
Kneivel.
