Perhaps Har Meggido? This city was the site of many major battles in 
antiquity, to the point that we get the word "Armageddon" from its name. 
Some people believe that the world will end at Har Megiddo. At the moment it 
is a rather grassy hilly ruin, and I understand that folks like to get 
married there.
