Damn, that's a neat idea. It would cause all sorts of problems with death related magick and similar bits, and I'd say would cause the person proxied to the cat to go through some mystical problems. Like the universe half the time assuming he's dead and ignoring his actions, or having the Cruel Ones come after him to see what's going on and put him on one side of the veil or the other. And, of course, lots of vague dreams and hints of what the other side looks like, but not enough to give any actual knowledge, just psychological damage.
