[UA] Playing yourself (was: Campaign logs)

Well, that's good in a way. I don't care how real the supernatural may or 
may not be, if some dipsomancer smashed through my door and began throwing 
magick about, I would not be inclined to begin the life of an RPG campaign.

People playing themselves possibly have a much more realistic sense of 
caution, which might make "adventures" less likely. You could mess about 
with ideas about what would happen if your friends' lives really *were* 
trashed in an occult way, and really bring the details home, but I'm not 
brave enough to touch some of the personal issues *my* friends have!

The only time I've been in a "yourself as a character" game was in DC 
Heroes, where the presence of super powers made caricatures of all of us. 
Players are much less reluctant then! However, we also found that many of 
our friends are very unconvincing when playing themselves. Either they were 
stuck with four-colour caricatures, or they weren't aware of how other 
people perceived them, or they just didn't want to play their true 
personality in a game.

This is more interesting in UA, because the Madness Meters are fairly easy 
to use. Did any of your friends have problems with the number of failed or 
hardened notches that they ended up with?
