Yeah, sorry, I sent that then realised it was massively unclear. 

I often can remember a sentence or so, and the effect is never of having a complete text - it's always work in progress.

The bits I do remember usually get written down, BTW. I think there's a page of my notebook with dreamt bits of writing, lying around somewhere.
