PLUG ALERT!!!

...that reminds me of a line from something I wrote for the forthcoming
"Dark Theaters" Delta Green fiction anthology from the good folks at Pagan
Publishing.

Unfortunately for y'all, the line in question is right at the climax of the
story, but it deals with the Lovecraftian idea that the only difference
between the past and the future is that we remember one but not the other...

If the reinstatement of capital punishment was clearly doing nothing to
reduce the number of murders in those states permitting it, it certainly
appeared to be cutting down on the number of confessions.
