I fell asleep once and as I drifted off, all I could hear was my
breathing. As I drifted off, I slowly became aware of a rhythmic breathing
\that was out of sync with my own. Unlike normal hag dreams I was lying on
my side and I grew aware of a presence behind me. I really fought to wake
up but couldn't, and the breathing grew closer to me, coming from behind.
Finally, it was as if I could feel the breath on my ear. I finally managed
to fight the lethargy, leapt out of bed, and fled to the living room, where
everyone was still up watching TV... There was nobody in my room, but I
slept on my back with a light on for a couple of nights... (Like Corey's,
the presence came from the window.)
Still, that's not the scariest thing that's happened while asleep--I
once woke up with blood all over my shirt after dreaming that I had been
shot in the chest and died--and I didn't wake up before I died. I had laid
in a spreading pool of my own blood, felt my limbs growing numb, and
everything tunneled and went black. I had seen the people standing over me,
watching me die. That's still the scariest thing that ever happened to me
in a dream/bed. I figure it was some kind of weird dream stigmata or
something...
