It really depends on what fits your campaign, style and history wise, but here's some ideas.
First off, the obvious: The Naked Goddess tape. Fits in almost too well, but if you haven't introduced it yet, this is a good part. Mexicans are probably some other cult (perhaps CotNG, or TNI, or Sleepers, or St. Cecil (lots of Catholics in Mexico, right?) or some minor cabal) looking for it for some reason, perhaps merely the tape's power.
Or any other artifact works, really. Flip through the main book and PoMoMa (and Hush Hush) for artifacts.
Someone once suggested to me a theory about Pulp Fiction where the briefcase the hitmen retrieve contains the big black guy's soul. Whether that works in the movie or not (I dunno) you could use that here, with it being someone's soul (perhaps the soul of someone passed on, or a demon) who has knowledge, skills, magick or something that the Mexicans want (restore to his body, find buried treasure, gain magickal power, who knows).
Or nothing at all, an it was all some sort of game played by Carthage and Rome involving them convincing others that they're smuggling drugs (or biochemical weapons or some other highly illegal items) into the U.S., while the other demon either guides another group of smugglers or the Border Patrol. (does it show that one of the few video games I have for my PS2 is Smuggler's Run?)
Or it contains some mystic tome to be used for some spell or whatever, which may or may not work, but the Mexicans think it does work. Perhaps the creation of a golem, or eternal life, or who knows what.
