This article describes how some wealthy chess enthusiasts moved to 
sponsor the next decade's worth of U.S. chess championships in Seattle. 
This has interesting connotations for Alex Abel's clergy bid, especially 
when you get to lines in the article like this one:

>Together, they hope to turn Seattle into a chess Mecca, promoting a pawn 
>to a queen.

Viewed through a UA filter, the entire article is a bit unsettling.
