>But by your logic

Well, my logic's not very good sometimes so that's why I throw these kinds
of things on the list. To iron them out.

I have seven significant charge items between
>my apartment and my mother's house, meanwhile, I could get one significant
>dipsomancy charge ever.

You must not have the plethora of Old West antique stores we've got here on
the West Coast, although it sounds like you live in San Fran. I can't
imagine not being able to find old antique glasses and such, somewhere,
locally. Probably once a month, at least. Maybe the time period needs
scrunched down to 100 year old vessel. And also, remember, I wasn't saying
a dipsomancer needed to satisfy criteria 1) & 2), just criteria 1) or 2).
It doesn't sound any more difficult (maybe easier) than to find an
historically important container. And that's my problem with dipsomancy
charges--what does historical events have to do with drinking?

As for the Clio siggies--you're probably right. I'll have to work on that
one. Maybe, you have to possess something for a longer period of time?
Become part of its history? Or maybe you get siggies from important
historical places, and minors from stealing artifacts from the museum? Out
of curiosity, where do you live that has so many important artifacts?

My problem is that I think dipsomancy as written is
>well balanced and I feel the same way about cliomancy.

I believe they are well-balanced. They just don't *feel* right to me.
Dipsomancy should just be about drinking, and Cliomancy should actually be
about history. Unfortunately there's this strange mixing and matching going
on. I'm sure there's a reason why the Greg and John wanted important places
(instead of places associated with events, and items associated with events)
and important drinking cups to be charge-builders but its not apparent from
my reading of the rulebook. BTW, I'm not asking for a change in the
rulebook, just some feedback on how to change my game.

>I also think that the whole point of Major charges is that if you're lucky
>and good you get one-maybe two in a lifetime. They're waay too common with
>your new cliomancy mechanics. But again, it's your game, do what you like.

I don't see how my cliomancy mechanics are that much different from what's
written in the book--except for that I threw in items. Maybe things should
be a certain age before they give a Major charge...well, that doesn't really
work either. I'll have to think on this one.

Believe it or not, thanks for the feedback
