Aaaages ago on the list, someone brought up an idea for mechanomancy in the 18th century. They were arrogant youthful idealists, and their taboo was to use anything old. Somebody also came up with a school called quisquilomancy, which was kind of a new wave postmodern form of mechanomancy, which used junk. Or something.
