If you're an epideromancer you'll probably be happy as it stands. I suppose
an avatar channeling a figure depicted often with multiple limbs could pull
this off. It might have other abilites. This is a rough draft now, but the
primary function is to allow amputees to function normally.

The pulp feel for the cult of thieves is deliberate and sort of pomo.
Joseph has been clued into the existence of the clergy but doesn't have the
details. He wants to ascend as the thief but has no idea of how to start on
the path to avatarhood.
Mat wants to become as much of a stone badass as the freak as well as regain
the ability to walk again. If he gets the hand he'll probably go on a spree
of charge building that will make him even more dangerous than the freak but
afterwards he'll have done enough damage to himself that all the charges he
gets will be spent on the Hand to keep himself functioning.

Damn straight the plan will fail for Dirk. The Hand doesn't do much for
internal organs lost. So some poor shmuck that Dirk can get ahold of will
die if he gets the Hand. Stress checks will be fairly high rank. Multiple
ones will be called for. A couple violence and a self check in any case.

Kidneys are a stone bitch as well.
