Judge and Hunter are very much in line for how I see the character; Pilgrim
really isn't.

They're a bunch of hopeless poseurs. The original idea for the cabal came
during a discussion of SNL characters as OU members, and I came down with
giggles at the thought of the Goth Talk gang being adepts.
While the Clio idea is pretty tasty, I see two problems with Sayles -- at
least as I've conceived him -- being a Clio:
(1) One of his big things is being regarded as an all-around paragon of
coolness. Not only does he need to know he's cool, he needs everyone around
him to know he's cool. That doesn't preclude him following a subtle path
like Clio, but I think he's much more likely to follow a really blantant
school. At this point I'm deciding between Epideromancy and Irascimancy.
(2) If he were a Clio, there'd be nothing stopping him from casting an Urban
Legend on the Metaphysical Society: "The MS are the coolest goth clique at
St. Gregory's." And there's no doubt in my mind that Sayles would do it if
he were a Clio -- see point one about his desired image.

One the one hand I don't want to overuse the TK type, but on the other hand
I can't resist the idea of having a three-way Avatar war in town.
I'm going to put an Automata in the town, but it won't be him. His role in
the collective rather hinges on him being an Avatar.

Oh, they're worse than a band of 800-lb. myopic gorillas. Imagine said pack
of gorillas trying to drive a miniature clown car while dosed up on acid and
you'll get the idea.

H'mmm. The idea is cool. On the other hand, as a result of the
"Amoromancer Anti-Defamation League" posts of a few weeks ago I've been
trying to create an Amoromancer that I could sympathize with. Unfortunately
I couldn't. I'm now considering having two Attaxers in the town, a "senior"
one (working name is Marielle Sadler) who would be an Amoromancer and be
pretty consistent with your ideas outlined above and a "junior" one, who
would be Lowdenowski, who would just be your typical 20-year-old female
college student, not an adept -- but Sadler is working on converting
Lowdenowski to the ways of Amoromancy.

Shore 'nuff did. Thanks also for the reading list (and also Mr. Hite for a
similar service).
