That idea has passed through my head several times, but I'm not enough of a math geek to really pull it off (I'm an English/philosophy major, I haven't done any math since high school).
There'd probably actually be two schools, one an older school tied into traditional math, and also the Kabbalah, which is either near dead or totally dead in the OU, and a newer one based one the weirdness that, for instance, non-Euclidean geometry causes, which is gaining popularity among the more intelligent wackos in the OU.
(This is rather similar to how most schools have some old-school magick form, which is basically dead. ie there's a bunch of Western mysticism about sex magick, but pornomancy isn't really related to any of that)
