Subject: [UA] American Chakra
Lotta good stuff has been posted already, and I only have one thing to add:
> Vishudda, the Throat chakra. Governs intuition, communication &
> expression. Imbalance = criticism, gluttony, consumerism, emotional
excess.
Seattle or Silicon Valley. Gotta be. Here we have the birthplace and
spiritual home of the computer, a vast improvement over the humble brain
that nature gave us. With it, we can think better, talk more efficently,
and truly express ourselves. But do we? Instead of talking, we attack.
The industry has produced millionaires overnight, and that has changed
Seattle and Silicon Valley overnight. Think Starbucks and grunge rock
(specifically the commercialization of grunge and its echoes). THe
particular climate of Seattle (rain, rain, rain) does wonders for the
emotional centers of the brain.
Here's a thought. Let's say that there WAS an alignment, prior to Simon
Diulio's attempt, and his failure (we hope he failed) did have some impact.
He did re-align Chicago as the Heart Chakra, which caused all the other
Chakras to destabilize, and tear themselves free, as they sought out new
loci which embodied this brave new world. Members of the Occult underground
are busy trying to lure the Chakras into their city by performing bizarre
public rituals to get the population thinking the right thoughts. This, of
course, makes the Sleepers go goofy, as they run about, putting down all
this nonsense. CHakras temporarily settle in one community, and, becuase of
the obvious imbalance, the population goes *insane* under its influence.
Finally, Alex Abel calls a temporary truce, and arranges for a Chakra Summit
of sorts, where it will be decided, once and for all where the Chakras will
be. Of course, nothing goes as planned (which is what everybody planned
anyway), but it does for a moment bring the Occult Underground aboveground,
so that everyone can see the true face of the enemy.
