Lifespans simply aren't deterministically biological any more. I'm a case
in point... I was born a month premature. Lacking modern techniques, I
would have died slightly after birth. Even had I lived, given that my
eyesight is poor, in a state of nature I would have died before reaching
adulthood. The spread of average lifespan is about 50 years now, comparing
the poorest countries to the richest. Depending on how you count them,
that's 2-5 generations. (The 10 year generation was a Viking thing )
