[UA] "Real-World" Synchronicity

Hello everyone,
I'm new on this list and new to UA in general - I live in Germany, and as another poster from Belgium wrote, it's not so easy to get the books over here (but with the exception of Hush Hush I have them all now).
There is an instance of synchronicity I would like to mention: the UA rules system is very close to the rules system my gaming groups have been using for years. It's on the internet if anyone wants to check (http://homestead.deja.com/user.robin_pfeifer/home.html). It's not my intention to accuse anyone of plagiarism (or being accused of such), but the similarities are so numerous, at least for rules-light systems, that I see it as an instance of two game designers having similar ides and getting almost identical results.
Anyway, this is a very interesting list, and for the moment I will go back to lurking, at least until I begin actually playing UA; as of now, all my groups are engrossed in campaigns of (gasp!) other games.
Robin
