Rumor says they sold out a run of 50,000 copies.  At $25 retail, they sell
to distributors at $10 each = $500,000 gross receipts.

It's...well, it's certainly possible.  What's unknown is how many of those
copies went to the book trade and might come back as returns after
Christmas.
