For better or worse, later realities than our own are pretty well stuck with the Mother and the Warrior (durnit, the name of the archetype shouldn't be something abstract, it's gotta be a role a person plays, which I stand by in the face of some bits of canon)  The next reality will have humans reproducing sexually, as ours does, because the Mother existed in this one, so the first human to bear a child will ascend as the Mother.  Similar lines for the Warrior, though perhaps a bit less inevitable.  It's the later archetypes that really would change things, the ones that may or may not ascend, like the WECHBY or Object of Desire or whatever the NG was.

On the other hand, as I said, guessing about previous incarnations can be fun, and you could look back to before the Mother had achieved her necessary role...  In which case, either humans reproduced asexually (no Mystic Hermaphrodite, either, in that case, probably) or the mothers abandoned the young to fend for themselves (like turtles do, they just lay the eggs and wander off, never to give them a second thought).  Eventually, somebody had a strong enough bond to thir child that they ascended as a somewhat different Mother, which evolved into our current one through several incarnations of reality.

Or not, I dunno.  Ask the Comte.
