Thanks to all those who have ventured information and advice on mobiles. I
now feel I have enough to supplement my meagre background knowledge!

I should add by way of clarification that this quest for information was
prompted by a situation where the players have been contacted by mobile by
someone who seemes to have been in a serious accident, and is wanted for
questioning related to a murder (one of the players is the primary
detective on the case). So they are wondering what they can find out about
the possible location of the person from the phone records that the phone
companies have, given their police connections, etc. I think I can fake it
with the info I now have (it is, after all, *my* version of the world...).
