Michael Chabon.  His other novels are THE MYSTERIES OF PITTSBURGH, a sort of
coming-of-age gender-confusion book, which is quite good; and THE ADVENTURES OF
KAVALIER AND KLAY, the story of two Jewish comic creators in 1930's New York,
which is getting some amazing reviews.  He also has two short story collections,
the names of which escape me at the moment.

Can't say I do, but that collection is being republished by White Wolf, so it
shouldn't be hard to find.
