I found the Bad Man too powerful for my taste. Stats aside, he has a lot
of power in both mundane and magickal areas. For my UA games, I'm
considering tone down his powers or raising him to Godwalker status.
Still, the main goal of the Bad Man is not power, is making deals. Even
if you outwit him in the pursuit of an artifact, chances are you could
be a client next time. So, as long as you don't threat his bussiness or
try to fuck him actively, he won't destroy you. 

The 'canon' Freak (as far as Greg has hinted) seems to be fairly
misantropic, and It's not interested in mundane power - he has bigger
fish to catch. However, the Freak is the Godwalker of the Hermaphrodite,
so It could have a lot of magickal power.
