I remember an Elmore Leonard novel -- I think it was "Maximum Bob" -- set
in Florida. It was only okay, but the scene with the alligator was pretty
good. Basically you had this cop dealing with a gator that had wandered
into someone's back yard, and he explained that "The thing about gators is,
their skin is thick enough to blunt the force of a lot of gunshots. Just
bruises 'em and makes 'em testy." He wound up having to approach it from
behind, basically straddle the thing, and put the barrel of his gun right
to its skull.

Who knows the difference between a crocodile and an alligator.
The Greek Underworld kicks ass. It's like "Six Flags Over Psychotic
Depression," and Cerberus is the Ultra Twister.
