Actually, as a political fanboy, it's been pretty interesting, if only
because there *are* new things to report. We've got two former Secretaries
of State going to Florida to oversee the recount, every hour there's a new
revelation about another set of ballots that were so badly designed that
instead of voting for the moderate left-winger, they voted for a
no-chance-in-hell rabid nationalist by accident (turns out this problem was
pretty widespread), and more and more *piles* of missing votes turning up.
The hair's-breadth lead that Bush was enjoying has been whittled down to
about half a hair's breadth by the recount *already* and they're still going
to be counting tomorrow. Plus there's the chance of a lawsuit being filed
by the Gore camp over those screwy ballots.
This is history-making in so many ways, and I'm sure some cliomancer is
trying to find out exactly where the ballot will be counted that finally
decides this election.
