Well they don't have to be. An archetype by its
self-referential nature are fluid things. I use an
archetype called the Sinister Old Man. The SOM is an
aged, and wiser, but cynical version of the fool. The
SOM is a version of the Fool or vice versa. 

Feel free to change criterion. Play fast and loose.
Keep your game-book-studying PC's on their know-it-all
toes.

Another archetype I've used is the Damaged Initiate.
Certain Archetypes ride their channeller's like
parasites. Spreading mystical virus. If your
channeller BOHICA's then they could start channelling
a second, remora-like archetype that distorts all the
originals functions negatively.

Remember it is just entertainment. Enjoy.
