Obvious answer - 'cos that's the spin the current Archetype put on the
concept. The current symbols of the Executioner are mostly the ones that
were important to the current member of the IC. Anyone walking the path of
the Executioner is going to encounter and draw power from those symbols,
'cos they're the clearest signal from the Archetype. Now, as society changes
and the current version of the Archetype becomes less relevant, a Godwalker
could arise who's the best Executioner despite not valuing the symbols of
the Death Card/White horse/Black mask/etc. If that Godwalker Ascends, the
symbols (and possibly channels) would change.
