Well here's an opinion. Yes. I really like the idea of an unconscious
avatar. I don't think it would be possible though, once the second level
of the avatar skill has been reached. I try not to think that someone
could be _that_ clueless :-)
When I run a campaign, unless someone has an incredibly kickass idea of
an avatar to play, no one just starts as an avatar. How the character
acts will decide if the character earns the avatar status, and what
Archetype. Then good things start happening to the character at
appropriate times. They figure it out soon enough. :-) And if they
misbehave, that makes it even more fun - remember, there's bad
Archetypes out there too...
