Spooky?  Damn, this made me turn on a light!  (Can't say I've read any horror 
story within the last few years that had that effect.)

On-topic UA:  Could this be what the flavor-text effect of a Major-charge 
Edit The World is?  Imagine you snub out a person with probabilty, and bit by 
bit their tethers from the Happened-World are breaking loose, conscious all 
the while, screaming for help as they fall uncomprehending into a void of 
dead chances?

Purely theorectical on another option, could a person get absorbed by the 
astral plane by some freakish rift between the two dimensions?  Could that be 
the UA-version of the Dreamlands?
