Here's a fun thing. I've started a Mak Attax egroup mailing list
for "in-character" type stuff. Mostly to get a good feel for how
the UnAverse "feels" from the inside.

Feel free to play-- I am. Enjoy!

================
Mak Attax List META-RULES
1. No game stats. Three strikes and you're booted from the
list. Luckily, most of UA's stuff is in "plain English."
Just be conservative and use a thesaurus.

2. Try to stay in "character."

2A. It is highly recommended to get yourself a new
psuedonymous mail account from yahoo or hotmail and
post from that.

2B. Remember, all Maks work for the largest fast-food
megacorporation on the planet. They don't all have to
be counter-jockeys or grill-monkeys, however-- there
are other niches in the edifice (truck drivers, food
prep factory workers, etc.). HOWEVER: if you want
to be "corporate," you're support staff or mail room
clerk level.

2C. It's more likely that a Mak is "mundane" rather
than "magickal." Failing that, a weird "wild talent"
or unwitting Avatar-hood is more likely than a true
adept.

2D. Maks never refer to their "parent" corporation by
name when "off-duty." They always use a euphemism--
"the Golden Arches" or "Clownburger" or "that little
Scottish restaurant I work at."

3. Remember that most of the UnAverse isn't as clued-into
how it all comes together as the average real-world UA GM.
Most of the "unwitting" Avatars from 2C probably think
of themselves as an adept of some sort.

"So, what *do* MA members talk about on the list?"

The usual list-wankerage, along with the kind of preposterous
boasting and posturing you only get from anonymous posters.
The crushing despair of fast food work, bizarro occult theories,
UFOology, New Age dribble, Big Plans That We Should Do (I'll
Supervise, Someone Else Do The Work), etc. Mixed in with that,
all kinds of crazy (and wrong) opinions about where magic(K)
comes from. Along with THAT, all kinds of requests for money
to "do projects."

The "in-character" rules are appended below. They should be sent
when a new person joins up.

=======================================
MAK ATTAX RULES (apologies to Fight Club)

The first rule of Mak Attax is: You do not talk about Fight
Club.

The second rule of Fight Club is: YOU DO NOT TALK ABOUT MAK
ATTAX. (Actually, it's "You do not ask personal questions about
other Maks. If they want you to know, they'll tell you.")

Third rule: When someone says "Nazi" or goes idle for 2 weeks,
the thread is over.

Fourth rule: Everybody can jump in a thread at once.

Fifth rule: Anyone can pawn a thread at any time.

Sixth rule: No ad hominems, no straw men.

Seventh rule: Threads go on as long as they have to.

Eighth rule: If this is your first day on Mak Attax... you HAVE
to post! (Introduce yourself!)

Ninth rule: No excuses.

Tenth rule: No lies.

Eleventh and final rule: Trust each other as much as you can and
still stay safe.
