[UA] Early Edition

It always seemed to me like a show whose setup had good potential for all sorts of stories, but never really did so (largely due to the inevitiability of a happy ending, etc).

If I were to UA it, the paper would be some sort of artifcat, likely one created by the ascension of the most recent Messenger or Prophet, much like the Warstone being a result of the Warrior ascending.  Or perhaps a major artifact made by someone, or an appropriate school (if I were a book, I'd say Bibliomancy).  I really wonder what the deal with the cat was, though...
