I can't help you there, but you may well want to digress into Oliver 
Sachs' AN ANTHROPOLOGIST ON MARS. One of his neuro cases was a woman 
unable to process emotional interaction, and who  could achieve a sort of 
cuddly happiness only by placing herself within a bizarre machine she 
built that essentially crushed her with pillows almost to the point of 
suffocation. Eventually, she found her life's work: designing abattoirs.
