Hmm. I don't remember my prior conceptions of UA. I bought it on the 
strength of a review that basically said "It's cool. Buy it". Ever 
susceptible to blatant suggestions, I did. If I did have any prior 
conceptions, then they probably got blown away when I actually read 
it. But then again, I'd never read any Tim Powers (for example), so 
the whole modern magick position was new to me.
