I worked at a Doskasil plant in Kansas. It wasn't an abbatoir. We
processed meat into the little round nuggets you find on pizzas from every
major chain across this great land.
Buddy of mine worked in a slaughterhouse in Kansas City. He only had part
of his right foot. He had an old pair of boots he was about to throw away,
and a woman on the line next to him that he wanted to freak out, so he loaded
the boot good and full with fresh blood and took his place as usual. She
began nattering away, as usual; he pretended to be interested, as usual. But
this time, he pretended to be distracted by what she was saying, dropped his
cleaver into his boot, and leaned heavily on that leg, sending a great gout
of blood through the hole around the knife. It worked. She didn't talk to him
too much after that.
That's the only good story he told, but I'm sure he wouldn't mind if you
used it.
