Isn't that very close to some of the Mythology of Ireland? The various
immortal races (elves, giants, etc) and the gods cannot be seen by ordinary
mortals at all. So a person couls stand in the middle of an elven great hall
durring a feast and see only a large natural cave.
Actually now I think about it, I'm probably mixing this up with some other
mythology from Europe. (Viking?)
