There's this really old song called "A Kiss to Build A Dream On" (I think, or maybe that's just what the guy singing keeps saying) which is all about masturbation.  Listening closely to the lyrics should make it fairly obvious ("When I'm alone with my fancy, I'll be with you" and more that I forget).  

It was used in the intro to the video game "Fallout 2" as well, so if you use it you can give it several meanings (as it's a post-apocalyptic sort of game, you could find some way to tie that in).
