There was a nice essay on one gaming ezine about driving you players insane (not the character). Unfortunately, I can't seem to find the url off hand. Anyway, the basic idea is to get all the other players to occasionally throw in bits of archaic slang (from the 1930s if possible) or use words like "squamous" or batrachian. After a while, GMCs start mistaking the pc for some one else, or calling him by the wrong name, and more and more claiming they're right about his name. Eventually, when everyone meets to play, you don't give out your normal game's sheets and play, but rather hand out Call of Cthulhu sheets and act as if nothing has changed (bonus points for making the sheets look old and giving characters experience for several months of adventuring). Nice plan, I thought.
