A few new things I'm hoping to get to soon....

Just a quick list of things I plan on fiddling with as time allows. I've
done next to nothing so far, so if anyone else is inspired, please feel
free!

Archetypes:

The Mysterious Stranger
The Burning Woman
The Rebel
The Jester
The Pedagogue
The Good Priest
The Minstrel
The Hanged Man (of Tarot fame)

Schools of Magic (a bit more explanation for these, and they're waiting
for Greek roots until I look them up):

Nonsense-omancy: Power through gibberish. Requires gradually giving up
meaningful speech.

Numeromancy: Power through formulae and derivations.

Celebrity-mancy: Power through notoriety.

Cryptomancy: Power through gathering, creating, keeping secrets. It is
taboo to tell or give up a secret.

Ludomancy: Power through playing games.

Miscellaneous tidbits (critters and an artifact or two):

Las Lloranas: Revenants (?) in the style of the weeping woman of
hispano-american folklore.

The Hungry Ones: Tim Powers-style ghosts who are primarily made up of
appetite and detritus.

The Necronomicon: Well, sorta. The prop book used in the making of Army
of Darkness seems to have taken on a sorta goofy-evil life of its own.

Lully's Baton: The French baroque composer Lully died of gangrene from
an accidentally self-inflicted wound from his baton (which in those days
looked more like a drum major's baton or staff than a contemporary
conductor's baton.) This item, cursed long ago by a rival of Lully's, is
still around. It's capable of changing its appearance in order to find
its way into the hands of great composer/conductors and then it finds a
way to make them destroy themselves...

All for now...
