[UA] D.B. Cooper

Well, I finally got off my ass and did a little research on Mr. Cooper.
Seems there was some definite moron potential, but he wasn't a *complete*
idiot.

* He did have the pilot fly low and slow (dangerously low, in fact), so
that it would be at least possible to survive.

* However, he dove at night in bad weather into a heavily forested area.
He wasn't wearing "survival-type" clothes (a business suit and loafers),
and with the 200 MPH speed of the plane, wind chill was something like 70
below.

This is exactly why it's clear that he must've ascended, or else
boozehounded his way out.... (Speaking of which, I like the idea of his
being an avatar/godwalker of the Dashing Rogue, whoever suggested that.
Captures the public's attention and, to some degree, admiration for his
daring exploits.)

He drank lots of whiskey on the flight. Funny, that.

Here's some of the info I found.

(Try an advanced search in AltaVista for "d.b. cooper".)

As if I wasn't going to.
