This reminds me of something I meant to mention. In one of Colin Wilson's
books, he mentions something I thought sounded pretty keen: The Second
Life of Joan of Arc.
Apparently after her death at the stake (I forget how long exactly), a
lookalike turned up, and was vouched the genuine article by her brothers
and the King (although the King later retracted his support).
She wound up getting married and settling down.
Maybe she got kicked out of the Clergy early?
