in the excellent hellraiser comic series from epic, there was a character
called "curious foetus" -- a foetus that became a cenobite after its
mother committed suicide. i have no idea what that has to do with
anything but it's a cool story (as is my favorite, in which a man becomes
ugly and, disgusted by his appearance, makes a face -- which makes him
uglier, which causes him to make a face...which causes him to become
uglier...

anyway, in line with previous threads re: historical figures in ua, please
don't follow the standard illuminati-conspiracy-connection-thing between
fable and fact...it's so tired and overdone...and not terribly
interesting. of course, having an overwhelming desire to drive off of
bridges definitely points to something that's going on upstairs...(?)

dumb idea follows --

nulls: there are people out there that are so polarized against the
supernatural that they effectively nullify unnatural phenomena...including
a mage's magickal charges. any spell or phenomenon or spell directed at a
null will fail. period. contact with nulls will drain a mage dry of his
power...

tired. go now.
