Not a coincidence at all.

Wilson (or his researcher) happened upon someone's M:tA web page while
doing research on the Rosicrucians, and included some of the information
found in the Rosicrucians-for-Mage writeup on that page in the book.  I'm
not sure if he realized he was citing a gaming writeup or not.
