I wouldn't normally comment, but I feel that the soft option of
preventing damage while still fighting, effective, neat and user-
friendly as the above rule would be, is a mistake.
Fighting is ludicrously dangerous. I like the fact that it's also
ludicrously dangerous in UA.
It'll make players cast around for ways to solve problems without
wading in, fists flying. That is a Good Thing (tm). Anything that
weakens that, to my mind, weakens the premise of the game.
Your mileage may vary.
