--- end of quote ---

In my game Alex would:

1) Put his followers to work checking out Mona's story. Perhaps a TNI operative
could covertly get close enough to Ruby to snag something for a DNA test (skin,
hair).

2) If the tests come back positive, he would contact Mona after their initial
meeting and tell her he wants to talk. Abel would name the time and place,
which would be saturated with cameras and microphones.

3) After a carefully orchestrated meeting, wherein Abel lets Mona deliver her
speil and then counters with his best outraged moralist act, Abel makes it
clear that he's not willing to deal.

4) After some creative editing, Abel arranges for Ruby to see the videotape,
which he explains away as a security measure he always uses when meeting with
people in case of lawsuits. Only one camera is used, but the product of all the
microphones is dubbed over it so that Mona's "treachery" is clear. Any
references to their earlier meeting is edited out.

5) By some strange coincidence, Mona is severly injured in an auto accident
before Ruby can confront her. Sadly, she suffers severe brain damage and will
have to spend the rest of her life on life support. In a grand act of
compassion, Alex foots the medical bills and sets Mona up in his mansion.

6) Alex then graciously offers to support Ruby. The poor child cannot possibly
survive alone, and it's the least that Alex can do to make things right. At
this point, Ruby is alone, feeling betrayed, and desperate for support. In
short, she is exactly what Alex is looking for in an employee.

I get the feeling that Alex in my game is much more slimy than in other
peoples'. Maybe it's just my in-born distrust of large organizations and
authority shining through, but in my game TNI and Abel are people best not
messed with. Abel, as I see him, is the kind of guy that would convince you
that you hate your own mother and then deliver a heart wrenching lecture to you
about how you shouldn't hate her, she had no other option, it was all in your
best interest, etc.
