becomes an unofficial mentor to her, showing Ruby how to make it in the world without
doing it on her back. I'm convinced any lust he might have for Ruby would be subsumed
by the bile in his stomach generated by Mona being such a mercenary bitch. Besides,
chances are he could buy a whore if that's what he wanted; I don't see this offer
tempting him in that way.    This is one instance where I see his nobility kicking
in. There aren't many, but this would be one.
