That scenario is a beautiful "Twilight Zone"-esque creation, but I have to
agree that it doesn't seem like the world's greatest RPG adventure,
*especially* not an introductory adventure.

There is almost no way for the PCs to figure out what actually happened
even afterward.  Maybe that wouldn't be so bad in a high-mystery sort of
game, but the very brilliance of the premise is obscured by the inability
of those playing it to actually comprehend it.

There *is* that opening narration bit, which sort of explains what's going
on to the players, if not the PCs -- but that doesn't seem to be a great
technique for a game, either.  Despite its "mix'n'match" structure, I find
"Pinfeathers" a far superior scenario to "Bill in Three Persons."

"BiTR" would make a great TV episode, though.
