The followup to this, of course, is Lacanomancy; magick based on
Lacanian psychoanalysis.  The paradox?  No sane man belives in the
unnatural.  This is actually strongly related to the linguistic
musings we've seen here; one of Lacan's tenets is that the 
Unconscious is structured as a language.  It's a very politicized,
symbolically oriented school; in fact, it arose out of the student
revolts in 1968.
