strangely enough there's been lamb antics in the vampire lrp i play in
recently. it's set in preston (coz that's where we play it), and preston's
symbol is the lamb. us lucky vamps have found out that the town is secretly
run by a bunch of true-faith-throwing weirdoes called the Keepers of the
Lamb. at first we thought it just meant they looked after preston. then i
found an old manuscript retelling an old story from the dark ages about a
terrible monster that used to roam the lancashire area at night, causing
terror and the like. eventually a christian priest arrived and held the
monster still, then proceeded to talk to it about the ways of his faith.
after having to listen to the priest rattle on for an entire year, the poor
monster broke and converted to christianity. he then became "as meek as a
lamb", and eventually fell to sleep under the ground.

erm, not that this has much to do with UA, but i wanted to get across my
recently-founded opinion that Lambs Are Bad. especially if they start waking
up...

hmmm, i guess i could relate this to UA in that i like the old occult idea
of names holding power. hence the names of places (especially old or weird
places) are very important. as in the lamb stuff in our vamp game. or the
london underground names out of Neverwhere
