Actually, the concept of Father Chrisrmas dressed in red and white was not created by the Coca-cola adverts, it was merely popularised by it.

You mention that the modern, commercial FC ousted the older Hollyhock 
God version. How about if the new version didn't replace the old version, so that now there are two avatar versions: The modern "Santa Claus", 
described above, and the pagan "Hollyhock God" version. Kind of like 
Hogfather, really.
And if you think your Santa Claus avatar is silly, you should see my idea for 
avatars of Bananaman.
