I can see some distinct differences here... take a look at
http://www.cs.buffalo.edu/~goetz/mlg.html, which has links to an
(incomplete) RPG called Men Like Gods for some ideas in this regard.

As an Adept school, chaos theory mages would, I'd say, gain charges by 
promoting complex systems (e.g., putting money into the stock market)
and the taboo would be trying to decrease complexity (working with
"back to the land" Luddites, for instance... in day-to-day life, this
would more be things like doing anything to simplify one's own life -
solving problems by retreating from them, for instance).
