Amassing temporal power & money. Patriotism. Terrorism. Magickal
cabals can have mundane goals like any normal organisation.

Well, firstly, steal from "real" occult lore. Il Comte is a possibly
immortal alchemist who worked for the Tzarist secret police
(Foucault's Pendulum). Il Comte is an Atlantean head of the
Illuminati. Il Comte is a hereditary title of the Rothschilds.

Magick is psychic powers. Magick is all hoaxes. Magick is medieval
sorcery. Magick is the bending of reality.

Avatars are psychics. Avatars are mutants. Avatars are aliens.
Avatars are evolved humans. (In the case of Avatars, I wouldn't even
mention the act-like-something, get-something aspect. Avatars should
just appear to be people with powers.)

as for the clergy...they're the big secret. Never mention them, take
about the Secret Masters, the 36 Invisibiles, the Illuminati, the
Great White Brotherhood, the Ascended Masters, Them, etc etc etc...
